McDonald's raises chicken patties... The healthy taste of 'NewJeans Burger' is attractive [How does it taste?]
McDonald's, imprinted with its rich meat aroma and rich cheese flavour such as Big Mac and Double Quarter Cheese Pound, is growing a chicken burger with NewJeans. The newly released "NewJeans Burger" was flavored with creamy onion sauce and could feel a "healthy taste."
According to the industry on the 26th, McDonald's selected NewJeans as its new model and released new menus "McCrispy Creamion" and "McSpicy Creamion" burgers made of chicken patties. Amid rising social interest in health due to COVID-19 epidemic, it targeted consumers who are sensitive to the Healthy Leisure trend. Healthy and Pressure, which means health and pleasure, are a combination of words. The industry is paying keen attention to whether the two types of chicken burgers, McCrispy and McSpicy Creamion, can be competitive works such as Mom's touch CyBurger and KFC's ginger burger.
On the same day, two McCrispy and McSpicy Creamion sets were ordered at McDonald's Sangam DMC branch in Mapo-gu, Seoul. Both burgers, flavored with creamion sauce and bacon, tasted 'healthy'. In the onion sauce, which was flavored with the sweetness of onions and peppers, you could feel the rich flavour from various herbs. The advertisment featuring NewJeans, a model for the two types of burgers, were being sent throughout the store.
Choi Minjoo (28), who was eating McSpicy Creamion burger, said, "As a summer approaches, I'm managing my diet and exercising," adding, "The combination of bread's carbohydrates, chicken breast patties' proteins, and ambivalent tomatoes is suitable for a meal." The reporter felt the healthy spiciness in contrast to the intense spiciness of the Shanghai burger in the McSpicy Crimeanion Burger, an upgraded version of the McSpicy Shanghai Burger. I wished the onion-flavored sauce was a bit stronger, but it was enough to bring out the charm of the crispy texture. The spiciness that rises from the pepper seemed to be perfect for the taste of Koreans who love spicy taste.
The biggest attraction of the McCrispy Creamion, which an upgraded version of Classic McCrispy, is the soft texture of the potato brioche bun. The yellow brioche bun went well with the white creamion sauce. The whole chicken leg meat, which was fried with Cajun three times, and the patty was crispy, so it taste good. However, I couldn't feel the moisture of ordinary chicken leg. When I ate it with a chewy chicken leg patty and a separate order of bacon, the meat smell of the chicken and the salty taste of the pickled vegetables matched well.
McDonald's launched two new menus and added them to its lunch-time discount product group "McLunch." The McCrispy Creamion Set, which costs 8,300 won during the Mac Lunch Time, is 7,800 won. The McCrispy Creamion Set, which costs 7,700 won, is 7,100 won.
